- Barack Obama impresses me as man who says what he means and means what he says. Sounds like a trite cliche, but it's true never the less. From the very first time I heard him speak, during his debate with Alan Keyes, then at the 2004 convention, I knew this man was destined for greatness. For the first time in my life, and I'm 54; I will be voting as a Democrat. I have never been inclined to become involved in politics, becoming semi-apathetic toward the losers that have been ruining this nation. For the first time I see a man who can lift us out of our depression and I am 100% behind him. GO BARACK!

The Oakland California Rally
What an amazing event!!! My wife Nancy and I had attended the Friday night Volunteer meeting, getting ourselves assigned to the
Campaign Store, along with several of the fantastic young men and
women from "Students for Obama." Our task was to organize, and hand
out the different size T-shirts to the cashiers at the tables. How
hard could that be? Nan and I spent the night at the Marriott, had a
nice breakfast and walked the four blocks to the City Hall Plaza,
arriving at about 10:00am
